Pinchar = click?

Pinchar = click?

This game says "pincha aquí" "pincha aquí" all the time for "click here". I would say "Haz clic aquí" or maybe if I was a game "haga clic aquí". Is pinchar often used for click? Gracias.

I've only seen that on sites from Spain... or contents coming from that country...

in Mexico is almost always "hacer click"

I wonder if people from Mexico would understand it. La mayoría de la gente de Mexico. - jeezzle, Nov 3, 2010
I think most people would get it... my brother said "es clickea... pero suena raro" - Tonyriva, Nov 3, 2010
Mexicans are about 27% of the Spanish speaking population. That's a lot, but that is not the majority (majority means over 50%) - lazarus1907, Nov 3, 2010

Why not write it ckickk? Or even better: clickkkkkkkk

In Spanish our spelling system is logical, please. If we write two consonants (C + K), we should pronounce two consonants, and to pronounce two k sounds, one after another is rather awkward.

click

La palabra click no está en el Diccionario.

clic.

  1. onomat. U. para reproducir ciertos sonidos, como el que se produce al apretar el gatillo de un arma, pulsar un interruptor, etc. U. t. c. s. m.

  2. m. Pulsación que se hace en alguno de los botones del ratón de un ordenador.

I agree...it looks so strange with the "k" at the end. - --Mariana--, Nov 3, 2010
