Decir conocer - how would you translate this?
Would 'dijo conocer' be something like 'knowingly said'?

Could you give a sentence in which you have seen these words together. I have seen them as part of a sentence but from what I have seen, these two words don't seem to go together to mean anything specific.
The sentence I saw was....."¿Qué quiere decir conocer a alguién?"....."What does it mean to know someone?" Decir belongs with querer in this example and translates as 'to mean'.
My take - "Pablo said he knew the secret of being happy" - Tell Pablo to call me, ok? ![]()
I think it's more like he said he knows or something like that.
It looks like an error to me; I would expect either que or a quotation mark after dijo.
The whole sentence is:
Pablo dijo conocer "el secreto" para ser feliz.
On further reflection, I think it means:
(he) is said to know
