What is "una cora" as a unit of money in El Salvador? Is it translated?

Here's the phrase. A man is selling newspapers on a bus. "Son 25 centavos, y ahí le trae más noticias. Le va a interesar, de verdad. Y solo por una cora."

Thanks!

cora = quarter (coin)

It's a U.S. quarter. El Salvador uses the U.S. dollar as their currency, like Panama.

I just looked it up and Ecuador used to use the Sucre and now uses the US dollar. My guess is that "cora" is someone's accent in pronouncing "quarter" or 25 cents. One could buy a newspaper that costs 25 centavos (cents) for "a quarter."
