When do I use por and when do I use para in a sentence?

you use por for 1. expressing movements that is, along through around by or about 2. denoting time or duration (when something occurs). 3. for percentages 4. to mean support or in favor of 5. introducing the agent of an action after a passive verb 6. indicating means of transporting.

you use para to indicate destination, to show use or purpose of a thing, to mean "in order to" or "for the purpose of", to indicate a recipient and to express a deadline or a specific time.
