Can you use "almuerzo" like this?

Question

"Casi tiempo para almuerzo." Almost time for lunch.

Granted, this is not a full construction of a sentence but, we have all walked down the hallway and made this type of comment. There was a discussion last year here that I just re-read and it is very confusing about the use of breakfast/lunch/dinner. When I hear these words in a conversation, I cannot for the life of me distinguish whether it is a verb or a noun.

Ya casi es la hora del almuerzo sounds better for the noun almuerzo ---> lunch.

yo almuerzo ----> I eat lunch (1st person of almorzar)

I think you could finish the sentence (fragment) with 'por almuerzo' (for [the noun] lunch)or 'para almorzar' (to eat lunch). I could be wrong on using 'por' in the first one, but the idea is that you could say it is luch time or it is time to eat lunch. I hope I made sense.

I am not a native, but "almuerzo" is a word, it is the noun "lunch", and "almorzar" is the verb "to (eat) lunch". Casi tiempo para almuerzo sounds ok, although I would probably say "casi la hora para almorzar".
