A birthday note

Question

It's the birthday of my spanish teacher.She is from Mexico. And I want to write a note to put into the gift box. She and I , we are like sisters. Is it correct to say;

"Para mi hermana mayor a la que acabo de conocer..."

If the sentence continues, maybe you could add a comma here:

"Para mi hermana mayor, a la que acabo de conocer..."
