Please correct my English and Spanish - Vaanz, Oct 29, 2010
Quite enchanting Vaanz, very good. - ray76, Oct 29, 2010
Thanks Ray!!! - Vaanz, Oct 29, 2010
"de las películas de terror" - bill1111, Oct 29, 2010
By the way, "fan" and "fanático" work more or less the same way in Spanish. In some way they are interchangeable, but "fanático" sounds more extreme than "fan". - bill1111, Oct 29, 2010
Cute!!!! - Brynleigh, Oct 29, 2010
Thanks Bryn and Bill.......... - Vaanz, Oct 29, 2010

Very funny Ray! :) hahahaha - FELIZ77, Oct 29, 2010
Funny, but unfortunately most idioms can't be translated :) You can say "hoy no consigo peinarme" to express that you can't comb your hair right, but not as a metaphore for having a bad day. - bill1111, Oct 29, 2010
Thank you billstpor, I guess i am having a bad translation day. - ray76, Oct 29, 2010
You mean a bad hair day? :p Nah, it's impossible to know in advance if you can or cannot translate an idiom like that. It happens to me too in the other direction. - bill1111, Oct 29, 2010

La sorprendida ardilla ha aprendido que no es una buena idea tocar un cable eléctrico.

The shocked squirrel learned that it is not a good idea to touch an eclectic line in the rain.

**Did someone mention the film 'Ice-Age3'?

= **¿Mencionó alguien la pelicula 'Ice Age3'?

**Editor's note: For those who are not familiar with the popular Ice age series of films, and even those who are, tongue rolleye tongue wink smile there is a crazy squirrel who is frequently seen chasing after an acorn only to lose it again in the ice. This caption is based loosely on the antics of this squirrel and the association of a squirrel with the Ice age!

Hehe.. well, there's slang words for 'marbles' in Spanish, of course, but they don't translate to "nuts" :) Double entendres very seldom survive a translation, something that is all too obvious when you watch dubbed versions of certain movies :p - bill1111, Oct 29, 2010
Your play-on-words can be viewed 3 ways. "Losing his nuts" could very painful !!!!!!!!!!!! - 005faa61, Oct 29, 2010
Well I think I may get rid of the last bit andjust keep the first part - FELIZ77, Oct 29, 2010

Man's problem lies not with the atomic bomb, but with his hair.

El problema del hombre no está en la bomba atómica sino en su pelo.

It's more idiomatic to say "¿Puedo entrar, por favor?", although your version is not incorrect. Oh, and it's "frío" - bill1111, Oct 29, 2010
