"to behave appropriately"... "comportarse apropiadamente"... it can also work "comportarse bien"
It has to be "comportó"... with a tilde
in your sentence..." El estudiante se comportó apropiadamente (de manera apropiada) durante el día de clases"
"El estudiante se comportó bien durante el día de clases"
