Car headlights (hi-beams)?

Car headlights (hi-beams)?

Does anyone know how to say 'hi-beams' or 'brights' when referring to car headlights? I've always said "las luces" but the dictionary also shows "el faro" for car headlight. I just have no idea how to say 'brights'. Please post any slang you might know as well, especially if it's from Northern Mexico or the Southwest U.S.

In the north on Mexico, specially in Monterrey and the Northeast...

"Las luces altas"..."las altas"...

"prende las altas"... "turn on the brights"
