"Save this spot for me." A Mexican told me that when I am in a line and I want to go to the toilet, I will say "Aparte/a el espacio para mi, por favor.". Correct?

I'd say "Guárdame el lugar, por favor", or "cuídame el lugar, por favor"... or "si me cuidas el lugar, por favor"...
It can be used with "usted", but it sounds kinda weird, I guess it's because it's something I'd probably ask to someone I'm familiar with...
