Marcar is the verb meaning to score points in sports.

Marcó un gol = He scored a goal

Actually, in Mexican Spanish it's more like:

¡Goooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooollllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll!

But in all upper case, in a much larger font.
