luego están los viajes de novios donde la pareja se pasa los días en un complejo mega-turístico sin ver nada más.

why the verb "ser" is before the subject here ?

Están + los viajes

Thanks in advance.

"luego están los viajes de novios." The context is that a season of honeymoons has arrived, just like the Christmas holidays, Easter, etc. Since they all come and go at different times in the year, "Estar" is used, ie: "Hoy están los viajes aquí pero mañana se van." In this case, "Ser" would not work.

Ser is also used for locations of non-physical objects. (parties, meetings, dances, concerts, etc).

viaje de novios=luna de miel

honeymoon

luego son los viajes de novios..... sounds reasonable to me.

Which was written, ser or estar?

In the example you provided you are using the verb "estar". You use the verb estar when referring to location (los viajes)
