In Latin American countries people in general are very polite and civil. People are greeted with "buenos días", "buenas tardes", or "buenas noches". Then you can say " ¿Cómo está? You'd use Ud. because you don't know them. First thing in the morning you can say "¿Cómo amanecío?" And that's usually answered "muy bien, gracias a Díos". In other words learn all the small talk. I've found that all over Latin America the vast majority of people will love to talk with you and help you any way they can. Good luck!
Compliment someone and then ask them about themselves. The compliment will start you out, and asking them about themselves will 'hold' the conversation, as people absolutely love to talk about themselves. It works for me, Everytime. ![]()
ether hola, me nombre es ( name ). and then it goes off after that. ![]()
