I found some awesome Mexican comic books today

I found them at the grocery store "Supermercado". They are westerns. "El libro vaquero" , "Aventuras de vaqueras" y "Libro sentimental". I wonder where I could buy more of these online, because they are really great. I haven't seen anything like this until now and I can't find anything like them online. Anyone have any ideas? They seem to be a great way to learn.

When I was a teenager living in Mexico DF, I used to read "Memín Pingûín" and "Las Aventuras de Hermelinda Linda" all the time. They were great! And you´re right, comic books are a good way to learn. Beware: You can become easily addicted.

I think I'll ask the local grocery if they can order more, they seem to be making a lot of shipments from Mexico. It's amazing how adult and interesting these comics are. That site has some really cool movies too. Now I have to find "Torrente el protector" if it's the last thing I ever do.

I'd love to get my hands on this one I'd love to get my hands on this.

Well, that's basically the Mexican version of pulp fiction (the genre, not the movie). There's trash like that everywhere! Whatever local equivalent to K-Mart is a good place to find them! - Gekkosan, Oct 25, 2010
