It was such well publicized that the tickets were sold out within days……………………………………

It was so well publicized that.... (adverb)

It was such a well publicized concert that.....(adjective)

The older [that] the dog becomes, the less aggressive [that] he is.

or

The older [that] the dog is, the less aggressive [that] he becomes.

We often omit the relative pronoun, that, in English.

What about this one? I have no idea: d) As dogs get older they become less aggressive. (the less) "The older the dog..." - jortosar, Oct 25, 2010
"that" is a conjunction (rather than a relative pronoun) in your last pair of examples. - samdie, Oct 25, 2010
