how does laica mean lego?
The definition here says that the Spanish word laica means LEGO. I don't really understand why a brand name in English would have a different name in Spanish.

Laica means someone who does not belong to a religious order. Lego is someone who is not initiated in an order. Lay may be a translation for both terms.
But the bottomline is Brand names are not translatable
