Is "dinero de origen corrupto" the best way to say this? Gracias.

No, "dinero de origen corrupto" is related to money laundering, that's what the corrupt origin refers to. It could come from any type of illegal activity (organized crime, scams, etc..).

Counterfeit money is called "dinero falso" or "dinero falsificado".
