I am having trouble with the following grammer:
Voy a hablar sobre las danos al medioambiente por las compañías despoblación forestal y petroleras.
or should it be...
...compañías de despoblación forestal y petroleras.
Your help would be most appreciated.

I think the original sentence is wrong because there aren't "Compañías de despoblación forestal". The "despoblacción forestal" is a consequence, not a kind of companies. The case of "petroleras" is ok.
"Voy a hablar sobre los daños del medioambiente realizados por las compañias que afectan a la despoblación forestal y petroleras.
