First, I would focus on learning English properly...
Because many Spanish people live in this world. Plus, it is the easiest language to learn and comprehend. You can talk to many more people if you know spanish!

I think there is a verse in the Bible that says you have to learn Spanish.

...but seriously, here are just a few reasons it's important.
Spanish is the quickly becoming the 2nd most spoken language in the US.
Learning a second language, helps you learn your native language better.
If you like to travel, knowing Spanish can help you in more places than you think.
Knowing a second language can help you when you're on the job / or help you get a job.
Spanish won't only help u with Spanish speakers. Its a Romantic language which means it comes from latin. There are countless languages out there that have their roots in latin. Spanish is heavily rooted in latin so therefore if u ever travel there is a good chance that u will understand signs in the streets of Italy, France, Portugal and so on and so forth. Besides this, its also a very sweet language

you can talk to anyone in that language. you don't really have to learn spanish unless it is a elective in your school then you have to take that class. because it is a elective at my school. I've tried to get out of spanish class they told me it was a spanish class.
Why not?
When I was in school I thought that it was the biggest waste of time ever. But later in life I used it in my work with farm workers for over thirty years. Whatever you go into professionally, you'll probably benefit from it. Also it makes travel in Latin America much more rewarding. So stick with it. It will pay off.

You need to learn spanish b/c all the hispanic people that can't speak english and it helps you with speaking english and the SAT's
But it can still be fun wat grade are you in!
