there isn't one.. the "a" seamingly sounds different because of the g sounds but if you take that away, both are the same long a sound. Anger - DAYnger. same sound but when it mixes in with the different g it blends with that change

Sorry, but if anyone pronounces anger by pronouncing danger without the "d", it will sound very strange.

I further doubt that 'seemingly' is spelled 'seamingly' :-) - pesta, Oct 22, 2010

anger & danger. Two words that demonstrate the inconsistency in the pronounciation of English words. Anger with a hard 'g' and Danger with a soft 'g'. It's partly why I like Spanish.

Quite correct but you also forgot to mention the different sounds of the letter "a" in each word.

Not true. In IPA the 'a' of 'danger' would be represented by the 'ae' digraph. and the 'a' in 'anger by a Roman alphabet 'a'. - samdie, Oct 20, 2010
Since Eddy is English, it's entirely possible that he mispronounces both words but the fact remains, they are not pronounced the same. - samdie, Oct 20, 2010
Some dialects may pronounce 'a' in anger like 'aim' but mainstream english rhymes 'anger' with 'am' - pesta, Oct 22, 2010

Maybe there are some accents where they say "AYnger". Like Penelope Pitstop in the Whacky Races cartoon. smirk

None of the British accents would say it like that though.
