Aunque el salto de altura en una sartén caliente es una prueba popular en los Juegos Olímpicos de huevo, nunca ha sido un atleta de huevo que ha vivido para recibir una medalla.

Although the high jump into a frying pan is a popular event at the egg Olympics, there has never been an egg athlete that has lived to receive a medal.

"evento" works well as a translation of event for most purposes, but in this case "prueba" is a better one: "es una prueba popular". Also, "no ha habido ningún huevo-atleta que haya vivido para.." - bill1111, Oct 20, 2010
Gracias Billstpor. - Rolest, Oct 20, 2010

"I don't think that diving with a shellsuit was such an Eggscellent idea after all !" tongue rolleye tongue wink grin smile

= " ¡No creo que zambullirme llevando un chándal fuera una idea tan excelente al fin y el cabo !"

Editor's note: The word excellent is intentionally misspelt so as to create a pun/play on words tongue rolleye tongue wink grin

I used the verb zambullirse vi = to dive( from a height) but could find nothing to help me conjugate it for a reflexive verb in the present subjunctive mood rolleyes confused

Corregid mi español, por favor grin

I think we're witnessing the birth of the 'crunchy' omlette.

Creo que estamos presenciando el nacimiento de la tortilla 'crujiente'.

Si él puede durar diez minutos, le daremos su medalla.

If he can last another ten minutes, we'll give him his medal.
