Possesives, is this exercise correct?

I have to work on an exercise in English about correcting mistakes based on Possesives and compound nouns and I am not sure about this one: "3.Dave´s company has been awarded a contract to repair all the buses’ engine. " I don't know if the possesive is ok here, maybe should be .."all engines of the buses" Thanks

Hi jorstar, it has to be "all the buses' engines". Other than that, either one of those sentences work just fine.

You could also say "all of the buses' engines" or "the engines of all of the buses."

I agree 100% with you Iorenzo. It could be said either way. - Seb79, Oct 18, 2010
