Es "son las nueve". Your answer could be confusing to a beginner. - 0074b507, Oct 17, 2010

Welcome to the SpanishDict Forum WallyWeiner grin

We usually encourage people to make an initial attempt at translating their own sentences and then post them here and people will be pleased to offer corrections, advice and guidance. We would ask you to do this please in future Thank you grin

However, as KenW has already given you the answer this time I will confirm that he is correct

Son las nueve de la mañana (de la tarde)

= It is nine o'clock in the morning (in the afternoon)

You can also be more precise and say:

It is nine 'o clock exactly (precisely) = Son las nueve en punto

I hope this helps grin
