Mediterrunio:
Two Canadian tourists in Wales found themselves in the town called "Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch".
They did not have any idea how to pronounce the name.
They decided to stop for lunch and hoped they would find a resident of the place who could tell them how to say the name.
They entered a fast food place, went to the counter and ordered their food.
After ordering their meal, they said to their server that they did not know how to pronounce the name of the place where they were. They asked him if he would pronounce it for them, s l o w l y.
The food service guy looked at them, strangely and said:
"B.u.r...g.e.r.....K.i.n.g."
Well we have "Land of the Never Never" in the Northern Territory Australia, can't get
much longer than that , no beginning and no end.
Incidentaly the locals in Wales call it , "Lanfair go go ", did you notice that red, goch
is pronounced very similar to the Spanish for red, "Roja"
Well in Japan there is this verb that businesses use and it's ridiculous.
