when describing an item what takes precedence?
Hi i am try to describe the physical description of items such as a table or chair and want to know if there is any sequence that should be followed when describing such items. For instance when decribing a "small green circular table" i would say "hay una mesa verde pequena circular". If someone could tell if this is right or wrong that would be great. thanks!

That is a good question. I would say "Hay una pequeña mesa verde y circular." I think that you need to have the "y" in there for it to sound right. Maybe "Hay una mesa pequeña, verde y circular" would also be fine but I think it sounds better with pequeña first for some reason.

I know of no rule about it, I think in this case the enumeration of all these adjectives is basically a matter of taste.
But be careful, because depending on the order, the result can be good or be awful. Sometimes, small nuances can change the meaning of the phrase altogether. In other words, this question does not have an easy answer, is subjective and requires a lot of knowledge of the language.
Your sentence is correct, I'd say it a little different,
Hay una mesa pequeña, redonda y de color verde ( for highlighting the table's size) Hay una mesa verde, pequeña y redonda (if what catches the attention of the table is its colour)
This is one of those things that you do by instinct. For example "una mesa pequeña, circular y verde" sounds bad, as does "una verde mesa circular y pequeña". As a rule of thumb, I'll say that if you are going to enumerate several adjectives, it is a good idea to put the one that indicates size before the noun, if any. And possibly the one that indicates the color right after the noun.
