El -ed es parecido al -do/-to en español en "comido", "terminado".

El "-ing" es más complejo, porque en inglés hay muchos usos que no existen en español. Los más comunes son el uso del progresivo, parecido al "estar comiendo" (but not identical), y el otro en -ing es más raro aún (-ndo en español), y uno de los pocos parecidos es la palabra "hirviendo" en "sopa hirviendo". En inglés pueden decir cosas como "sopa conmoviendo" (por "sopa conmovedora").

Aprende inglés usándolo, no preguntando cómo funciona.

The word "hung" is the past tense form of the verb "hang". It's irregular, so in the past tense it doesn't need "ed" added to it; Just the "a" in "hang" is changed into a "u". For the progressive or gerund form (I'm not sure of the correct name, lo siento), it would be "hanging". I hope this helps.
