Andas sensible

I understand verbs like IR, Andar, Caminar in this sense, but I still don't totally get this, I think it wants to say....... you are too sensitive. You go around sensitive? Why and what is the meaning, and cause of the meaning? Gracias.

Ando buscando un hotel means that I am currently in the process of looking for a hotel, no? However, dime con quíen "andas" y te diré quien eres means tell me who you run around with and I'll tell you who you are

Maybe one way to generalize the use of "andas" (beyond the standard 'you walk'), it that it can be used as an alternative to estar, when it refers to an ongoing mood or action.

"Estoy buscando un hotel" - "Ando buscando un hotel"

"Estoy sintiéndome del mal humor" - "Ando malhumorado"

"Estoy sin dinero" - "Ando más pobre que ratón de iglesia - ando sin dinero".

"Estoy en una misión de Dios" - "Ando en una misión de Dios"

"Andas" is just one way to say "you are being". It's an idiom, I don't think it can really be explained. It's just the way people speak.

Yes. "Andas" is one of those nice multi-purpose words. :-) - Gekkosan, Oct 14, 2010

I wouldn't say it's "the best". You can also say: "estás un poco sensible", "has estado sensible"; "andas sensible", "te noto sensible".... - Gekkosan, Oct 14, 2010
