Verb conjugation concerns
When studying verb conjugation, which ones would you suggest starting with?
I usually start with present, preterit past, and future.
Which ones do you think are the most used, and which ones are hardly used at all?
There is a lot to memorize, so I would like suggestions about where to begin.

On the other hand, with the compound tenses (some form of 'haber' + a past participle) and the progressive tenses (some form of estar + a present participle), you get more bank for your buck. Basically you only have to learn to conjugate 'haber' and 'estar' (which are only moderately irregular) and the participles of verbs (which, although not completely regular, are not particularly hard).
I certainly agree with you in there are lots of verb conjugations to commit to memory. I think it's important not to memorize each verb conjugation for each word but to memorize the patterns which they follow. You'll see that patterns form for -ar, -er, and -ir verbs and, in addition, -er and -ir verbs quite often follow the same patterns as well. There are some exceptions to the patterns which are the irregular verbs, but for the most part the conjugations follow these established patterns. I would definitely begin with the present, the preterit, the imperfect and the future. I hope this helps and good luck.
