In vino veritas

Question

With all this talk of vineyards, I was wondering how "in vino veritas" translates to Spanish.

In English I use "in wine there is truth"

(or, if you like, "when you're drunk, you spill your guts")

I have found:

En el vino está la verdad (this is the most common)

Entró vino salió el secreto

Just wondering what anyone else thinks

I guess "en el vino está la verdad" is the most obvious, but that isn't a common saying in Spanish. There is one Spanish saying though that carries a similar meaning, and it's funny as well: "Los niños y los borrachos siempre dicen la verdad". Children and drunken people always tell the truth.

In Spain everyone I know always says it in Latin, since translating "vino" as "vino" is a bit of a waste of time, and "veritas", if said quickly, sounds like "verdad", so most people get it without a translation.
