uno de los puntos más poderosos?
Does "poderosos" refer to "puntos" and thus plural? Or should it be "poderoso" referring to "uno"? Ultimately it is referring to a single point so logic dictates it should be singular. How important is this? The original text is plural.

poderosos refers to puntos
Roma tenía uno de los ejércitos más poderosos de su tiempo.
Roma tenía el ejército más poderoso de su tiempo.
If I diagram your phrase, I agree with mediterrunio. Even in English, "powerful" describes "points" and from all points you refer to one of them. (Also, mediterrunio is a native Spanish speaker, no?

Uh oh,,,There seems to be a disagreement here. Thanks for your replies. Can anyone else help settle this?
