What they will be saying is:
Hola amigo, ¿qué tal?
Hey mate, how are you?
So depending on how you're feeling you could say:
Muy bien, gracias. Very good thanks.
or
No muy bien. Not very good.
Más o menos. So so.
and then finish up with - ¿y tu? (said eee two?) meaning, how about you?
