Hi All,

Today in my reputation page, I noticed that the reputation points are in negative.

For example You earned -10 rep for being voted up on an answer to (5 hrs ago)

Do any of you face the same issue?

I'm afraid to vote you up....I don't want you to lose any more points! - Echoline, Oct 10, 2010
Now you are at -20. You are almost in the plus column, Vaanz. - sanlee, Oct 10, 2010
Ehh... Why has this been brought up? I don't see any new activity on this thread. - 00ffada9, Feb 5, 2015

Wow, vaanz, bummer!! Mine are still going in a positive direction.

Perhaps you are in a timewarp....or maybe you've been gaining so many rep points that the computer can't keep up grin

Did you send a PM to the computer guy?

To Christopher? - Vaanz, Oct 10, 2010
Yes, to Christopher. I hope he can restore your points. Otherwise, I'll vote you up to make up for it! Let me know! - Echoline, Oct 10, 2010
You know, vaanz, if it's a person voting and unvoting you, then the net would be zero so at least you wouldn't have really lost anything. It could be someone just playing around... - Echoline, Oct 10, 2010

Vaanz, I just voted you up on Picture of the day, and you went from -40 to -30 so at least it is going in the right direction. Keep up the good work. You are doing a great job! I am sure you will figure this out. You get my vote!

I took a chance and voted up your Picture of the day. You were at -80 (very unusual, indeed) and went to -70 so you received the 10 points I sent.

If you get back an answer from Chris, I sure hope you share it ... this kind of thing intrigues me to no end!

Yes, Vaanz. I did notice that I went negative once when they accidentally went over 200.points. The next time it was a negative because of that and I could understand that. Most likely, that is what happened to you. Somehow, you got more than 200 points in a day (or 1400 average for a week), so it had to be equaled out some how. Still, I am not understanding the method most of the time, so I try not to look at it. It is better that I concentrate on learning Spanish.

¡Feliz cumpleaños!

¡Tu regalo es diez puntos!

I don't know who would be so rude to go and minus a vote they made on you because they are just pathetic.

My guess is that someone probably voted for you, so you received 10 reputation points. Then, for whatever reason, they unvoted for you, so you lost the 10 points.

Just a guess.

I don't know who would be so stupid to unvote someone! But their are people like that out there. - jolt, Oct 10, 2010
I have "un" accepted someone for a while when I wanted more answers. - ian-hill, Oct 10, 2010
Sometimes, I reread an answer and see it doesn't say what I first thought...I'll unvote it. - webdunce, Oct 10, 2010
It was not I who caused a negative score for Vaanz, though. As I rarely vote at all. - webdunce, Oct 10, 2010
My connection is so slow that I think my vote didn't register and I click again. . .it's called wide band and costs more than cable internet in the USA,buut a lot of the time the bit rate is less then 10K. - lorenzo9, Oct 10, 2010
I feel for you Lorenzo -- I have the same problem. Sometimes, just to make sure my voting is not "unvoting," I'll do a page refresh. - territurtle, Nov 9, 2011

When Sally voted up for this question, it is +10 and not -10..... Maybe there is some issue with the program...

You'll get 0 if you vote up more than 10 answers in a 24 hr. period, as only the first 10 count. Have some of them been coming up 0 today? - Echoline, Oct 10, 2010
Yes, but I have probably gone over the 10! ;) - galsally, Oct 11, 2010
