Great try!
It's a very good cup of coffee = Es una taza de café muy buena.
You only use the word "buen" before a masculine noun -- otherwise, it's bueno or buena depending on the gender of the noun it modifies. Here "buena" is used for "taza."
It's more common to simply say "Un café." If you want to be more descriptive, you can say as gabacholoco said."Un café rico," or "sabroso," etc.
We should be describing the café not the taza.
I would say una taza de café rico.
La taza de café está rica. OR La taza de café está buena.
It is not muy buen, because it is feminine; you use the word 'la' not 'una' because 'la' means 'the' and una means 'a'. Está is used because it is describing the state of the coffee. Some people may say 'vaso' instead of 'taza', which means glass, but it may seem funny to say 'a glass of coffee'. Most people would say 'a cup of coffee'. 'Muy' means 'very', so if you wanted to say very good, the say 'muy rica' or 'muy buena'.
es una taza de café muy buen.

As Julian said, in Spanish you normally say "a coffee" or "the coffee" when referring to the drink. "A cup of coffee" refers to the cup that coffee is served in, typically.
