It is a slang (probably from Spain only, since it is a Gypsy expression):

estar al loro ** (=alerta) to be on the alert (=informado) to know the score *

hay que estar al loro you need to be on the alert

está al loro de lo que pasa he's in touch with what's going on

Al loro - can mean 'on the ball' or 'keep your eyes on something'.

It apparently comes from caló (the gypsy tongue and means 'watch' (as in the one you wear on your wrist). The whole saying was "al loro, que es de oro", which means pay attention to the watch, it´s pure gold (supposedly to do with thievery).

As a more modern saying I believe it can also mean a radio or portable cd player.

Hm, "al loro" is a very common saying to say that you are "in the know", or "with your eyes peeled", but using it as "watch" or "radio" is a slang typical of people of lower condition. - bill1111, Oct 9, 2010

Very puzzling. Assuming jeanpm's translation is correct, then the al loro would appear to modify me ... but in the Spanish sentence it doesn't seem possible...it seems like it should modify tiene.
