What about joining a conversation group (is there one in your area?)

Television and radio broadcasts are good, as well as reading.

And - of course - Spanishdict.

It seems like a retired US army guy can find a good use for Spanish, maybe even volunteering with Hispanics in your local school district...

Keep us updated on what you find.

Aprender inglés 1-4. Have you considered going through the same material; but "on the flip side" so to speak. I was amazed how much Spanish I could understand ( I am not a native Spanish speaker) from listening to Paralee teach Spanish speaking persons English! These courses should help your daily "fix"! Hope so anyway.

First suggestion.....why not keep visiting here for the forums, Word of the Day etc, many of us completed the lessons we wanted some time ago but are still here enjoying the company and learning. smile

Busuu.com isn't bad if you like doing lots of lessons, you can also chat to native speakers any time of the day if they're online and not busy.

WordReference Forums Great dictionary and forums

Spanish music on youtube - tons - especially 'con letras'

Read a book in Spanish, start with kids books if you need to.

Spanish tv programs, again start with kids if you need to TVE a la carta

Podcasts, either download or listen at your pc spanishpodcast.org

There's just so much you can do to keep improving. smile

Hi Joe! Each day, I try to do 3 things here on this site:

~~~La Palabra del día
~~~Picture of the Day

~~~Nicole's Sinónimo y Antónimos
It forces you to read Spanish, and to actively use your brain/skills/knowledge to form sentences and conjugate the verbs. I hope it will be helpful for you too!
You can play A-Z games and answer questions in the Answers forum.
And, you can probably spend the rest of your life going through all of the flash cards and making new ones.
A different web site, don't know if you have tried this one: Study Spanish
A site to meet people to talk to (although most of those looking are the English speakers):Intercambio
In my area the libraries have "intercambios" where people can go and try to teach each other- I haven't got my skills to that point yet, so I haven't tried them.
One thought, since you list Tuscon as where you live- explore options for volunteering somewhere to help teach Spanish speakers English- I am sure you would pick up quite a bit of Spanish just trying to teach someone else English.
Plus: stay with the posts here-
I like to read Spanish language newspapers on-line: elpais.com, elmundo.es, clarin.com, etc. I also read novels in Spanish, and listen to Spanish language news podcasts: BBC Mundo is good.
