what would be the translation for "group home" of mentally disabled?

Hi, Jarax, welcome to the form.

One of our own children lives in a group home, so I need to use this term frequently when we are in Mexico. I always say "residencia para los discapacitados intelectuales" or "residencia para los que tienen discapacidades intelecuales". In Mexico a mental disability is called "discapacidad intelectual", so this would be "a residence for the mentally disabled". Everyone seems to understand what I am saying (or maybe they are just being polite?)

I'll be curious to see what other suggestions you get.
