I was visiting a courtroom the other day. The judge said "objection overruled".

Is the best way to interpete this "objecion sea revocada".

Any court interpreters out there?

I'm not a court interpreter, but since no one has answered, I will.

Objection! - ¡Protesto!

Objection sustained! - ¡Ha lugar a la protesta!

Objection overruled! - ¡No ha lugar a la protesta!

I believe that this is correct in standard Spanish. If you are going into a court to be a paid court interpreter, please verify.

Actually, I've been studying to be a Medical Interpreter. But I went to the court house to hear the Court Interpreters. That's why I asked about the translation. - kmeza, Oct 7, 2010
