¿Hay alguna parte en dónde pueda dormir?

Is is correct here to use the subjunctive "pueda" ? also, Should I put "en" before dónde? Is it possible to write

¿Hay alguna parte dónde pueda domir?

Is there somewhere I can sleep? Somewhere/anywhere

Is anywhere and somewhere the same in spanish ...?

"Donde" is without accent (and without stress when you pronounce it!) "Donde" and "dónde" sound very differently from one another. - lazarus1907, Oct 7, 2010
Is there such a thing as dónde? thanks for correcting me - dewclaw, Oct 7, 2010
Yes, when you make questions (direct or indirect) or exlamations, which is when it pronounced with extra stress. - lazarus1907, Oct 7, 2010
Thanks, and i guess it is the same for cómo, qué etc.. - dewclaw, Oct 8, 2010

This may not address your question directly, but I don't think dónde requires an accent mark in this sentence. This is not an indirect question where donde is an interrogative pronoun. The interrogative word in this sentence is Hay. Donde in this sentence is a relative pronoun introducing a clause serving as an adjective modifying parte.

Spanish relative pronouns

Other relatives: cuando (when), donde (where), etc. These words may also serve as relatives just as their English counterparts. The same as with the proceding relatives, no written accent mark is used since they are not being used as question words.

Now, back to your question about the subjunctive.....

haha, thank you, I'm trying to understand those grammar terms... So you just put an accent when it is a question right? - dewclaw, Oct 7, 2010
Yes, as in ¿Dónde está Maria? or No sé dónde está Maria. - 0074b507, Oct 7, 2010
Also if it is used in an exclamation if that is possible. - 0074b507, Oct 7, 2010
but ne sé dónde está s not a question... so why use it there - dewclaw, Oct 8, 2010
"Ne sé dónde está" contains the indirect question "¿Dónde está?" - samdie, Oct 8, 2010
