¿Cómo se dice con artist?

I need a word to describes a con artist, a fraud. The person I am describing is a female criminal who trick others out of their fortune. I have found maquinadora and intrigante. What would be best?

It depends on the type of crime she specializes into. For con artists who run scams based on fooling people through lies, false identities, etc.. the word is "estafador" or "estafadora" for a woman. If the con artist was specialized in forgery, he or she would be a "falsificador/a".
"Maquinadora" and "intrigante" are adjectives that can be used to describe that kind of criminal activities, but they could also be used for a sly guy who is not involved in any crime.
