I actually took a class called Spanish American Culture during the summer and it dealt with the meeting of the Spanish and indigenous worlds, so part of what we dealt with was the Incas. The Incas lived around the area what is now Peru, but a concept to keep in mind is that the Incas as a unified people existed for a very short period (around 100 years maybe) and what made them great is that they built upon the achievements of the peoples that came before them. The reason we refer to Incas is that they were the last to inhabit the area before the Spanish came.

Here is an interesting video about the Incas:

Welcome, Cali.

I think that you misunderstand this site. You are welcome to join us if you have any questions about Spanish usage and translation. But we are not a homework service. In fact, we get great joy out of discovering answers for ourselves because it gives us a sense of accomplishment.

All of the answers that you are looking for are easy to find. You have the entire internet at your disposal. Your question was typed very neatly and intelligently, so you no doubt can discover the answers for yourself.

I encourage you to grab a handful of cookies and a glass of milk and park yourself in front of your computer and find what you need. I know you can do it, and in the end you will actually end up learning something about the Incas, as you will have to read alot to find what you need. They are actually a very interesting culture...not boring at all.

You can do it.

I don't know if you know this but I have mid-terms in a few days. I normally do research info by myself but I'm in a hurry to get the info, for I have three other classes I need to study for. After mid-terms I won't ask a lot of questions. - calibeachgirl, Oct 6, 2010
Well don't you have a text with that specific type of info that you're looking for then? - benweck, Oct 6, 2010
Only in the classroom, and we can't take them home. - calibeachgirl, Oct 7, 2010

The Inca's ruled the land around the andes mountains, and pretty much most of the west coast of south america. No idea what the rest is though.
