¿Qué le gusta hacer al hermano?
The sentence is ambiguous. The intended meaning is, probably, "What does the brother like to do?" However, it can also mean "What does he/she (or do you) like to do to the brother?"
Welcome to the forum. We're a learning site, so we encourage people to try for themselves, first. The dictionary here is quite good, and the automatic translator will give you a reasonable start. If you post the results, we'd love to go over them.
Hint: What does it say in English? How would you answer the English question? Then translate that into Spanish.
Well these are the three translations from our translator.
1) Do you enjoy brother
2) What likes to do the brother
3) What it likes to make the brother
In the light of the varying translations I feel that the poster does need a little help. I suggest she concentrates on number 2) which says "what does the brother like to do".
Hola, Blue, welcome to the forum.
In order to respond to the question, you need to know what it means. Use the "translation tab" on this site, and you will get the translation.
It sounds as though this is a question about something that you are reading. If you go back to whatever that is, you should be able to find the answer. If you don't understand the words in the text, either use the dictionary section in the back of your textbook or use the "translation" tab on this site.
I know you can do it!
As the sentence "¿qué le gusta hacer al hermano? means What does the brother like to do? you could answer like this
Al hermano le gusta _________
you can put an infinitive in the space like jugar, comer, hacer nada, dormir etc.
How do you respond to that question?
If it was me being asked, I'd say: Absolutamente nada.
