Here was the question my teacher asked about Galicia: Como se llama el dialecto de Galicia?
Can you help me figure out how to respond, because the reading about galicia we received didn't mention this at all!

Es mi lengua materna, no es ningún dialecto.
It is my first language, it is not a dialect.

Amy is correct, but gallego isn't a dialect. It's a distinct language, more closely related to Portuguese than to Spanish.
