Machine translation is "hable más alto, por favor" or "más fuerte por favor." Are either of these right?

I would go with the first one, but I think they're both right.

I'm going to dinner tonight with my Spanish class. I already know which waiter will be serving us, and he speaks very low, so I have a hard time understanding him. I wanted to be sure I could ask him to speak up.

I would say "habla en voz alta"

To me that would mean to say something out loud. - KevinB, Oct 3, 2010
Really even though en voz alta means loudly and en voz baja means quietly? - jeezzle, Oct 3, 2010
As an example, Paralee always says, "En voz alta" in the lessons here when she wants you to say it out loud. I don't think she means to say it more loudly. - KevinB, Oct 3, 2010
Though I agree that en voz baja means quietly. - KevinB, Oct 3, 2010

I personally would go with the second one... but you need to be a bit specific... because to turn the music up is... poner la musica más fuerte

"hable más fuerte por favor"

OMG this reminds me....

Here's an example of its usage :D
