Commonwealth Games
Hi all,
The Commonwealth games (CWG) started atlast.... Even though, there were many issues with the CWG, the opening ceremony is fantastic(I'm watching it now on TV).
I wish the CWG a huge success... And all the best to all the teams participating...

I'm not a big sports fan, but I'm looking forward to seeing some of India being shown.
Hopefully, the games will surpass the problems and bad press they've had in the last few weeks.
71 Countries Taking Part in the the 19th Commonwealth Games I am sure we have many SpanishDict members whose home countries are being represented. A beautiful opening ceremony presided over by Prince Charles.

It will all turn out just F I N E - I wish I could see it.
We will be getting excellent coverage of the Commonwealth Games. I wish I could be
there in person though. Someday, I plan on visiting your country, in the meantime I
will be watching on televison, with great interest.
Aussies and Canadians rock the CWG....

Its a shame that the problems of India hosting Commonwealth games are getting so much attention in the press when just 3 months ago, South Africa hosted the world cup, having diverted billions of dollars, from helping those desperately in need, in hospitals, to build big hotels and big stadiums for all the footballers. Many sick people and children have died and will continue to die because of this. This is to say nothing of the thousands of innocent people that were kicked out of their basic shanty town homes by force so that rich tourists wouldnt see what shanty towns look like.
And to top it all off, the man responsible for much of this Sepp Blatter wants a Nobel peace prize for it. If they give it to him i might just start my own non governmental underground organisation.
