What does the va mean in this sentence?

Ella va a darlo a mi hermana y a mí. should mean She will give it to my sister and me. However, what about the va? Isn't va meaning go from the verb ir??? Doe the sentence mean She will go and give it to my sister and me?

Yes, it's from ir. Va = She goes, she is going, etc. Ella va a darlo = She is going to give it. It doesn't mean she is physically going anywhere.

Lazarus will come along in a minute and tell us to stop translating, but ir + infinitive is one way of expressing something that's going to happen in the future. It's actually very similar to English.
