how do you say: by the way

Question

I am just wondering how to say: by the way. For example it can be used to mean something like the phrase, by the way I stopped by your grandma's house, or by the way I cleaned the bathroom too. Something random like that. Hopefully that is a clear enough message, oh and by the way, I tried so if it doesn't work then I can't do anything more.

You can just say "por cierto": you're talking about something and suddenly "por cierto, pasé por casa de tu abuela" or "por cierto, también limpié el baño".

You could also say "a propósito" (a propósito, pasé por casa de tu abuela).
