When using the gerund, does it have to agree as far as singular or plural with the pronoun

When using the gerund, does it have to agree as far as singular or plural with pronoun? Ex: Nosotros estamos jugando or Nosotros estamos jugandos

The "gerundio" (which has nothing to do with an English gerund) is always invariant, so "Estamos jugando" is the only correct sentence. "Nosotros" cannot be used unless you are comparing "us" with "others", so if there is no others to compare to, don't say "nosotros".

Be careful though because when "estamos" is used to describe a state of being, then it is followed by a plural adjective, ie: "Estamos muy felices"......... We are very happy."
