No estaba pensando.......

No estaba pensando.......

I saw Jeezle taking a little heat from the masters and thought I would jump in and take some of the abuse.

Proper use of tenses, particularly the conditional?

The conjunction (hasta que) or just hasta?

No estaba pensando de yendo hasta que descubrí que estarías allí

I was not thinking of going until I found out you'd be there.

en ir, great, that is what I was looking for. The yendo just didn't look right. - MattM, Oct 1, 2010

I'm trying to think if it's ever legal to have two gerundios in one sentence, but I doubt it.

I wasn't thinking about going...

In this sentence you're using "going" as a noun. In English that's a gerund, and it ends in -ing. Spanish doesn't do it that way. The gerundio is not the same as an English gerund, and cannot be used as a noun. You have to use the infinitive, like cogumela said.

No estaba pensando en ir...

The rest of it seems right.

I usually learn rules by breaking them and having my hand smacked. Which rule in particular? The "verb as noun" thing? - KevinB, Oct 1, 2010
