Well I hope I don't get beat up for using the noun form of the verb, but I had to post this since I just finished reading it. (azote - whip) OK I changed it so now I used both forms

Aunque apenas si entreabría los ojos entre las capas de la bufanda, los tenía irritados y enrojecidos por el azote de los diminutos gránulos

Edit: Los diminutos gránulos le azotaba sus ojos en el cuento por Clive Cussler.

Even though she barely had her eyes halfopened between the layers of the scarf, they were irritated and reddened by the beating of the tiny granules.

Please correct my mistakes. wink

In Spain we last night we heard it was a coup. - JoyceM, Oct 1, 2010
Some people are saying it was a coup attempt that failed, others that it was a demonstration that got out of control. Personally, I think the truth is imbetween the two. - lorenzo9, Oct 1, 2010
