so when starting a statement and somebody says

usted se dará cuenta que

what is the best translation?,,,i know it can mean "you will realize that..." but that doesn't seem right to me,,,any ideas?,,,thanks!

(= enterarse) can be translated as to realize

or (= ver) to notice --

Perdona, no me había dado cuenta de que eras vegetariano = Sorry, I didn't realize (that) you were a vegetarian.

¿Te has dado cuenta de que han cortado el árbol? means: Did you notice (that) they've cut down the tree?

Hay que darse cuenta de que ... One must not forget that ...

¡Date cuenta! ¿Tú crees que es posible tener tanta cara? meaning:

Just look at that. Can you believe that anyone could have such a cheek!

¿Te das cuenta? (Arg) = Can you believe it!

It means, depending on the tone:

Usted se dará cuenta You will realise

Tiene usted que comprender You must understand

Usted ya debe saber You ought to know

Como bien sabes Like you already know...

Puede que usted sepa You may to know, ...
